In March of 2004 I moved to Fujian in Southeastern China with the goal of learning Chinese. Since my first few days in China, food has always played an integral part in my Chinese studying, and my first two words in Chinese were Å£Èâ (beef) and ³´·¹ (fried rice). As I continued studying Chinese, I never lost my focus on food, as with every new food word I learned, it was a new dish I could add to my Chinese ordering arsenal. With How To Order Chinese Food Dot Com I have attempted to compile 3 years of culinary Chinese into a single website. This site is designed to allow you to order a vast array of Chinese dishes without having yet mastered the language. And if you want to use it as a tool to learn the language, then all the better. This website is all about food. For more on my views and personal experiences in China, visit my blog. I currently live in Chicago, but will be in Beijing from June 15 until Sept 10, 2008. My favorite styles of Chinese cuisine are Hunan and Dongbei. For a more detailed biography click here. Developing this site takes quite a bit of time and I only make a few cents per day off ads, so if you find this site useful and want to contribute, please click the button below and make a small donation.
